FLB Law Successfully Obtains Tacombi Site Plan Approval from P&Z Commission

Tacombi, the taqueria in which famed restaurateur Danny Meyer has invested, is one step closer to opening its first Connecticut location in Westport. FLB Law attorneys Eric Bernheim and Matthias Sportini successfully obtained approval of the taqueria’s site plan from the Westport Planning & Zoning Commission.

Retained by Tacombi, FLB Law’s Real Estate & Land Use Practice serves as an advisor to the burgeoning restaurant chain and its vendors and an intermediary to the Westport town agencies.

The site, located at 1680 Post Road East, was originally home to a gas station and then a farm stand before laying vacant for many years. FLB Law worked with Tacombi’s development team to bring the site into compliance with the zoning regulations by developing a plan to increase the number of parking spaces, enhancing the landscaping on site, and adding a sidewalk and stormwater drainage system.

“Conditions to the site plan approval include returning to the Architectural Review Board to obtain approval for the outdoor canopy,” explained Sportini, “but the process is moving along. Our experienced legal team is well-versed in the regulations and as a result is able to make constructive and efficient recommendations.”

FLB Law’s attorneys have handled notable real estate and zoning projects including the SoNo Collection, Westport Weston Family YMCA, Maplewood Senior Living Westport, and the Garavel Subaru Dealership.

News about Tacombi’s site approval was reported in the Westport Journal.
