FLB Law Partner Eric Bernheim to Present at the 2024 ICSC+U.S. LAW Conference

FLB Law is pleased to announce that Eric Bernheim, managing partner and head of the firm’s Real Estate & Land Use Practice, will be co-presenting with Cathryn Greenwald at the 2024 ICSC+U.S. LAW national conference, scheduled for October 23-25 in Orlando, FL. Eric and Cathryn will be leading a session titled “Financeable Leases: Find Out What Your Lender Really Wants!” where they will provide their combined knowledge on leasehold financing.

The session will explore the critical lender “must-haves” to finance a leasehold interest and strategies for negotiating these provisions with landlords. Given the complexities of leasehold lending—where a loan is secured by a lien on a tenant's leasehold interest rather than on the property itself—lenders face unique risks that require robust protections. Eric and Cathryn will discuss essential provisions and best practices to ensure leases are considered “financeable” by lenders.
